1. HENRY <1> CASTLE was born in England in 1613. On 4 Jul 1635 he shipped to Statford, Litchfield Co., CT in New England. He moved from there to Judeah, now called Woodbury, where he died in Feb 1697 at age 84. Children:
2. ISAAC <2> CASTLE married first Sarah. who had no children and died in Feb 1701. His second wife was named Joanna. Children:
3. SAMUEL <3> CASTLE was baptized on 9 Aug 1704 and died in 1781 at 77 years. His wife was named Martha. Children:
4. DAVID <4> CASTLE was born 1725 in Woodbury, CT and died in 1823 at 98 years in Jericho, VT. He married Phebe Sanford in Sep 1747. She died in 1820. All their children were born in Woodbury, CT. (See PLATT GENEALOGY and SANFORD GENEALOGY) Children:
5. ABEL <5> CASTLE was born on 25 Feb 1749 in Woodbury, CT and died on 15 Jun 1843, aged 98 in Essex, VT. He married first in 1773 to a Miss Hurlbut of Woodbury. She died in 1773. Child:

His third wife was Sarah (Woodworth) Aubery, who had been deserted by her first husband. She died on 5 Apr 1795, aged 41 in Essex, VT. Children:
His fourth wife was Esther Smith was born 17 Jun 1764 at Woodbury, CT and died at age 84 on 19 Mar 1848 in . Essex, VT. Children:
6. JOEL <6> CASTLE was born at the family homestead in Essex, VT on 2 Jan 1790 and died on 27 Sep 1840. He married Aurilia Lane, daughter of Roger Lane and Eunice <6> Bostwick. Aurilia died 9 Apr 1858 at age 64. ( see BOSTWICK GENEALOGY ) Children:
7. SAMUEL <7> CLEMENT CASTLE was born on 1 Jul 1818 in Essex, VT and died on 19 Jun 1894 in Hinesburg, VT. He married Irane Stone Ray, born 13 Jan 1822. Irane was the eldest daughter of John B. Ray [b. 22 Apr 1798, d. 9 Dec 1860] and Annis Beecher {b. 5 Jun 1804]. John B. Ray was the son of William ( or Asa ? ) Ray and Dorcas Eddy; Annis Beecher was the daughter of Lyman Beecher [b. 1777, d. 18 Apr 1842] and Elizabeth Stone [b. 1779] of New Milford, CT and Hinesburg, VT. Children:
8. ROSAMOND AURILIA <8> CASTLE was born on 12 Jul 1843 in Vermont and died 27 Jan 1927 in Goffstown, NH. On 12 Oct 1864 she married her first husband, Isaac J. Cole, who died Jan 1866. Child:
Rosamond Aurilia (Castle) Cole married her second husband, James Miner on 8 Jul 1879. James was born 3 Apr 1805 and died 22 Jan 1891. ( see MINER GENEALOGY) Child:
II. Helen Alma Miner, b. 9 Mar 1882 in Hinesburg, VT. Helen first married Dr. Henry Lawrence Wilder, b. 21 Jan (1870 or 1872). She later divorced him. (See WILDER GENEALOGY)Child:
