Upcoming Events

Summer Garden Veggies
Local friends, many of whom also receive a hand from Fair Haven Concerned, GIVE a hand sharing their home-grown vegetables at our Wednesday food distributions.

Squash and Potatoes
Folks with gardens dedicate sections of their plots to grow squash and potatoes to share with their neighbors through our food shelf.

Non-perishable Foods
Many folks regularly contribute food for other folks, cereals, canned foods or frozen items to go in our freezer. Your gifts are ready on the shelf when your neighbor needs that waiting hand.

Surplus Products:
Many food producers donate surplus production, overstocks, or close-out lines to our food shelf. See the growing list below.

Money to Buy Food:
A number of people of all ages and situations give monthly or seasonally so that fresh foods can be purchased for hungry folks, and low stocks of food can be replaced so no one needs to go hungry.

Prepare/ Serve Child's Lunches
People in our area volunteer their time one or more days a week during the ten weeks of our Summer Nutrition Program to prepare lunches for the children - with love - knowing that those little children will have healthy growing bodies and minds thanks to their efforts.

Make Cookies - Summer
Some good bakers love to make fresh desert treats for the children to go on the sharing table at the lunch site. perhaps your would like to be one of them?

Help with Thanksgiving Dinner:
Food without friends is pretty empty. At Thanksgiving time many people in our area bring their friends or families to our Community Thanksgiving Dinner sponsored with the Fair Haven Eagles. For several years lots of groups have worked together to gather food, prepare and serve it, deliver meals, and make a community-building time together. Will you plan to help and share Thanksgiving with our neighbors?
