Work on the Holiday Gala
It takes a big team to produce a Gala: folks to make, distribute, sell, and collect raffle tickets; others to solicit, gather, package, display, and distribute items in our silent auction or like comedian Dr. Jim Wright declared the winners; folks to promote the gala itself and participation in it, and to arrange sponsoring groups for tables; and friends who will simply come and give and enjoy!

Last year you gathered over $12,000 to keep our neighbors warm through the year.

Magic Pennies brought a Truckload of Food
Dan Ransom, son of our founding director Judy della Camera, initiated a penny collection at Fair Haven Union High School a few years ago. Other groups joined him and after several years of work he had gathered enough money to purchase an entire tractor-trailer full of food through Feed the Children. We distributed the treasures to nearly 4,000 Rutland region people through 37 different food shelves and United Way Agencies. Perhaps you would like to start collecting pennies (or dollars) toward the next truckload.

Serve Refreshments:
Fair Haven Concerned has the opportunity to serve the refreshments several years for the Annual Meeting of the Vermont Conference of the United Church of Christ. We receive a stipend and generous donations and have an opportunity to introduce ourselves to folks around the state, If you'd like to help make coffee, set up or clean up or welcome folks, please let us know!
