GMRC 803

GP 9
This engine came to GMRC from the C&O, and was perhaps one of the world's ugliest, rustiest used engines when it arrived.  The guys that bought it obviously only looked under the skin.  Fortunately repainted as GMRC 1850 after a brief testing period.  Renumbered to 803 after the re-integration of the Vermont Rail System.
Downtown Montpelier, April 2001

Usually seen now on the Washington County, moving carloads of materials to and from the Bombardier plant in Barre.
