RANGE RULES

1) No shooting shall take place before 9 am on weekdays, or 10 am on Sundays,
except for approved events. NO SHOOTING AFTER DUSK.
2) Any person who acts in a hazardous manner
in any way on club property will be ordered off the grounds by any officer, director
or person so designated by the board.
3) In the interest of safety, there will be
no collecting of fired cases during the firing of events. All spent
cartridges or shells must be picked up and disposed of after you have completed
your target practice.
4) Guests may use ranges only when
accompanied by a member no more than twice a year, or when permission has been
granted by the board.
5) Persons utilizing club property will
refrain from the use of alcoholic beverages.
6) No
firearms shall be loaded except on the firing line or when ready to fire on the
trap range.
7) No person shall go forward of the firing
line unless all actions are open and
no
firearms are pointed down range. or permission has been granted by the Range
Officer in charge, or all others on the range.
8. All firearms shall be carried with
actions open when not actually in firing positions.
9.) SHOOTING AT ANYTHING ON RANGES OTHER THAN PAPER OR
CLAY TARGETS IS PROHIBITED. It must be clearly
understood that the purpose of this rule is to prevent the indiscriminate
shooting of tin cans, bottles trash cans or any other equipment on the range.
Specifically, no firing of any kind, except at regular paper targets at the rifle and pistol range, and clay
targets on the trap range, thrown in the appropriate direction, unless
authorized by the board .
10) Excessive
rapid fire is not allowed. Reasonable controlled rapid fire is allowed as it
pertains to training for events which require this discipline and during such
events as authorized by the Board.
11) No firearms are allowed on the archery
range, nor archery shooting on the rifle range, unless authorized by the board.
12) All refuse shall be deposited in the waste
cans provided for that purpose.
13) Rifles or guns of any description, when not
in use, shall be placed in cars or gun racks, with open actions. Open Bolt
Indicators will be used when appropriate.
Pistols
not in use must be holstered or boxed.
14) Smoking is prohibited around persons using
or shooting black powder guns.
15) Upon entering or leaving, CLOSE THE GATE! (Except
during events or trap practice)
The
willful violation of any of the above rules will be sufficient cause for
immediate dismissal from the Club. Guests will be banned from the grounds
Permanently.
