BOARD OF PASTORAL CARE

Visiting every member or friend in person or on the phone is the goal of our pastoral care team. Meeting every month they support and guide one another and report on calls. They identify people with a special need for care, and promote fellowship events that strengthen caring. Each month they include names and addresses of friends who might like a card to encourage them.
At Annual Dinner and Meeting time the Board calls every friend of the church to invite them to our dinner and gathering.

At Christmas time they coordinate our annual Christmas Carol Day. We climb in the back of hay-filled trucks of into cars and visit area nursing homes and shut in friends to sing them cheer and love. Tears and hugs abound! Then back to church we go to share hot cocoa and coffee and sing favorite Christmas songs around the piano until our voices leave us!

The Pastoral Care Board also ministers to friends in grief, hosting coffee or refreshment times at church after a funeral or memorial service.
