I thought it might be
of interest to write a few words about myself. I hold a Master
of Music degree in performance from the Chicago Musical College
of Roosevelt University. Professional experience includes occasional
work with the Chicago, Milwaukee and Toronto Symphony Orchestras,
free-lance ballet and opera orchestra performing in Chicago musical
venues, radio and television jingles and 22 years of performing
in theater orchestras including those of the Shubert Theater
(Chicago) and The Chicago Theater. Among the musicals I have
performed with are, Cats, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom
of The Opera, Les Miserables, Fiddler on The Roof (with Zero
Mostel), A Chorus Line, The King and I (with Yul Bryner), Joseph
and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (with Donny Osmond) among
many others.
The musical drawings
on our website (http://www.jeffgoldgraphics.com) are a result of those many
moments in rehearsals or even (in theater pit orchestras) performances
where the mind has a great tendency to stop functioning from
fatigue or just plain boredom. Most of them were drawn while
working in the musical environment, hence the subject matter
and general confusion! I sincerely hope that my drawings will
bring a chuckle to all who see them.

Jeff and
Ellen celebrating
After living and working
most of our lives in the Chicago area, my wife, Ellen and I came
to the conclusion that we wanted to simplify our existence and
so relocated to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
What a wonderful decision that was! Life here is much more laid
back and humane than in the city. The people in Danville are
very community oriented and really care about each other. They
have also been exceedingly welcoming to us. So here we are and
through the medium of the World Wide Web, we bring our musical
offerings to you. We hope you enjoy my more recent blockprints of Vermont as well.
