The gang at dinner at a pizzaria on the
top of Montelucco.

Pat McGann, Jonathan and Anya Finney-Kubrick, 
their son, Sammy, Abbie,
Mickey and a harried but ever polite
waiter.

We had the best pizza here and
the view of Umbria was positively
vertiginous
Christiane Kubrick set up shop in the lower
studio to paint.
Quite hot outside midday but cool
in the shade of the studio.
We took a drive to the next valley
to visit the Abbazia delle San Pietro
in Valle. The Abbey sits on the side of
an enormous mountain. It has only recently
been restored as an Agriturismo, open to
the public as a restaurant and hotel.

From across the valley from the Abbey,
sits this deserted town, reachable only
by a steep and long mountain trail.

Uncle was content to view it from afar.
on to Trevi, 2000 where we bought a house!...
