Adora is intended to be a full-featured email client. This means it will send and recieve messages over the internet, store them as files on your computer and allow you to view them and organize them at your whim. While Adora is not yet a complete, stable software package, it has a lot of functionality already. In fact it is the only email program that I use.
It is intended to be simple and easy to use, yet powerful enough for the casual user. You can use it with Windows or Unix/Linux operating systems. It is completely free to use and the source code is included with every copy!
Adora is designed for cross-platform use and allows you to use the same mail folders and configuration files in both Windows and Linux on a multi-boot computer! (See How to set up for cross-platform mail...)
You can get the Tcl/Tk interpreter and libraries from http://www.scriptics.com. Tcl/Tk 8.01 or newer is needed to use Adora.

12-30-1999 - I will not be working on Adora any more. I will leave this site in place as a reference for people who want to use the code I have written. Anyone is welcome to take over development of the Adora code and continue to improve it etc. Just email me if you are interested in doing this.
11-12-1999 - Version 0.0.5b released. This corrects a bug found in 0.0.5 which caused problems with the message editor, as well as adding GPL licensing to the software.
11-10-1999 - Adora version 0.0.5 uploaded. Did some work to pretty it up a little. New features:
10-30-1999 - I finally have got version 0.0.4 out the door. This is the first version to really be ready for use, though there are still bugs and lots of missing features.
