VT Forest Products Council

In June 2001, VCRD instituted the Vermont Forest Products Council (VFPC), designed to evaluate the needs of the value-added sector and build policy recommendations for the Governor’s Office, state and federal delegations and agencies, and private sector parties. The Council consists of representatives from federal, state, local governmental agencies in addition to private sector enterprises. The VFPC’s two-year mission is to develop public policy proposals to build incentives for value-added wood products and promote the wise use of Vermont forest resources.
