CHANGE IN TAX DUE DATE

Due to the Town wide reappraisal that is being done for this tax year, we are forced to move the voted date for the first payment from 9/25/08 to 10/10/08.

We are hoping to have tax bills mailed out the last week of August or the first week of September. However, please check your bill when you receive it, as Vermont Statute states that tax bills must be mailed out at least 30 days prior to due date. If we are unable to get the tax bills out on or before September 10, 2008, we will be forced to move the due date further ahead to allow for the 30 day requirement.

Please be advised that the Lister's have mailed out the town wide reappraisal booklet. Should you be expecting one and have not received it; there are copies available at the Town Offices.l Please feel free to contact our office should you have any questions.

Property Tax Due Dates
Tax bills are sent to property owners once a year with taxes due on October 10, 2008 and February 16, 2009. If your taxes are paid by a mortgage or escrow company, please call the Town Treasurer's Office to verify payment before the due date.
