Youth-Initiated Grants is a sub-committee of the Windham CountyYouth Council, a group of youth from all over Windham County working as partners with adults to make a change in our community. The Council is a work group of the Alliance for Building Community.

The Youth Council has been given $20,000 of Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities funding to manage its own fund. Youth throughout Windham County with ideas for projects are encouraged to apply. We do not have a fixed amount set for each of our grants. The average grant amount offered last year was $650. The least amount was $100 and the largest grant was $2100. We encourage you to apply for what you need.
