These 4146 individuals include all Bascoms found in our published genealogies
Bascom
and Allied Families, and Thomas Bascom and His Descendants.
In addition, these records have been augmented by numerous Bascom family
genealogists. All of these individuals are related to the family of Thomas
Bascom, the American immigrant of circa 1630. And although definitive proof
has not been established, we believe Thomas can be traced back to the earliest
known French Bascoms of the 1400's. If you are an American Bascom, you
are almost certainly descended from Thomas Bascom, and you should
be found in our files.
The purpose of this online genealogy is to provide an international online database of the Bascom name, to assist Bascoms in their research, and to gather information from family members in preparation for a printed genealogy. I encourage Bascoms to email me with additions or corrections. If you do not know how you fit into our family tree ask for help! Bascom is such a unique and rare family name that we are nearly all related.
These records are copyright of Bradford W. Bascom, and the Bascom Reunion Association. They are provided to assist in research and to gather corrections but may not be republished in any form.
The Bascom Reunion Association holds a Bascom Reunion in the New England area every three years. About 200 people come from all over the United States to attend this weekend event.
Another branch of the Bascom family has regular reunions in the Utah area every two years.
