BRATTLEBORO TO PUTNEY, ROAD PROJECT PRESS RELEASE
PUTNEY-BRATTLEBORO ROAD WORK UPDATE FOR WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2010
Pike Industries will continue road improvement work on this project as follows:
Due to the Labor Day Holiday Weekend, crews will not return to work on the project until Tuesday, September 7th.
PUTNEY
PAVING: Crews will begin paving in drive entrances along Putney Road from Basketville south through the Village to Old Ferry Road in Brattleboro.
BRATTLEBORO:
Crews will continue installing new sidewalk handicap ramps at crosswalk approaches starting at the traffic circle and proceeding south to Eaton Street.
Motorists may experience traffic delays and are asked to include these delays in their travel plans. Lane Construction Press Release
Lane Construction Downtown Brattleboro Schedule - Week ending 9/4
Lane Construction will be doing Railway work on Route 142 and there will be a detour on Route 142 at the Railroad Crossing, going through the Cersosimo Truck yard, on Wednesday 9/1 and Thursday 9/2, from the hours of 6am - 6pm.
Daytime work will consist of Electrical trenching and conduit installation at the Junction, Flat, Elliot and High Street intersections. Sidewalk work will continue on Main Street which will result in tighter sidewalk sections and temporary pedestrian detours. Two-way traffic will be maintained on Main Street with the use of one officer controlling the traffic and flagging personnel to assist. Sidewalk and curb work will continue on Canal Street, Putney Road, Park Place, and Linden Street. Parking bans will be defined the day prior due to daily changes.
Please Note: The Brattleboro Co-op project also has construction in process at Malfunction Junction. Please direct any questions or concerns regarding that project to the appropriate parties.
