Hi,
A little unknown fact is that the
inn is only 90 minutes from Montreal.
Many of our guests, while staying at the inn, plan day trips
to Montreal and we are able to provide them with information on
events, festivals, shopping, maps, etc. Jacquie is originally
from Montreal, and is therefore an excellent resource. In
our next newsletter and as a regular feature we will provide you
with Special Events in Montreal. Our next issue will arrive late
in March. Keep Warm!!!!!!!!

Harvest
Pumpkin Pancakes
2 cups milk
4 Tbs sugar
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp ginger
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
4 Tbs oil
1 cup sour cream
Combine milk, oil, sour cream, pumpkin, and eggs. Sift
together dry ingredients and add to pumpkin mixture.
Stir just to combine. Prepare as you would regular
pancakes, and enjoy.

Isham's
Corner

(Editor's note. Management of this newsletter has
deemed it necessary to issue a one month suspension to
Isham for conduct unbecoming a staff writer. His
proposed column for this month, though perhaps
acceptable to ABC or the NFL, did not meet the high
standards of this organization. If all goes well he will
return to his usual place next issue. Thus, for this
month we turn over the space to GIZMO.)
Well, it's about time. I'm tired of playing second
fiddle. ISHAM'S corner, ISHAM and Gizmo mugs, ISHAM'S
cheesecake. The list is endless. Yet if you look
carefully, it's ME who's the first out the door to greet
guests, it's ME who is willing to keep all four paws on
the ground when giving licks, it's ISHAM who gets
jealous whenever another animal gets attention, but it's
ME to whom kids warm up to first. Yet (and take a look
at past columns) I get kidded and made fun of all the
time - I can't help it if my tongue is out a lot (didn't
hurt Michael Jordan). Anyhow, here I am - and I mean to
stay. Isham my friend, you've just been Pipped (that'll
mean something to those of you who know some baseball
history).
As though we needed one, we've just added another cat.
Kate was driving home late, in the rain, and found an
adorable stray in the middle of nowhere. Tired, hungry
and dirty she was - but no more. A tiger with strong
stripes, she is really cute, fun and playful. Kate named
her Missy. She's already eating my food.
Well, space is short so I'll say so long till next time.
Please let management know you'd prefer me. Every vote
counts.

CHANGES
AND IMPROVEMENTS

As mentioned in the last newsletter, there have been
changes and now some improvements since most of you were
last here.
The guest sun room has been redecorated with all new
leather furniture, a small display area for our antiques
and BHF items, and all new (Vermont made) quilts have
been placed on the beds.
During the month of March we will be closed, except for
weekends for the two upstairs rooms, for a construction
project. The large downstairs bath which serves the
suite and yellow rooms will be converted to two smaller
private baths for those rooms. Entrance to the new baths
will be directly from those rooms. Many prospective
guests have expressed a preference for private baths, so
we will now be able to accommodate that preference. The
upstairs bath (with the two person jacuzzi) will
continue to serve the blue and red rooms.
Our Valentine's weekend special filled within hours of
our last newsletter. Thanks so much and we look forward
to the event.
With the construction and semi-closing for the month, we
will be skipping the newsletter for March. Maybe this
will give Isham a little time to think about his
suspension (see Isham's Corner).
