BRAD & JACQUIE'S KITCHEN
|
 |
BRAD'S BEER BREAD
Talk about an easy - but delicious -
recipe !
3 cups self-rising flour 1/3 cup of sugar 1
bottle of beer
Beat thoroughly. Put in greased or Pamed bread
pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Remove from pan
and allow to cool.
That's all there is to it. The taste will
vary somewhat depending on the beer you use.
Brad prefers Bud since it is on the sweeter
side.
NOTE: Don't be generous in measuring the
flour or the mixture may be a bit too thick. If
unsure use a smidgen less than 3 cups.

ISHAM'S
CORNER
|
 |
It's
cold, it's snowy and I'm bored. Gizmo and I
can't go in the pool. Dad (and Mom) won't let us
in the hot tub. Few birds to chase. No flowers
to dig up. The horses don't feel up to being
chased. And I haven't learned to ski. What's a
dog to do.
What I can do though is keep all of you
company if you go for a walk, use our snowshoes
to hit the trails, or cross country ski on our
trails as well. I'm very good at keeping watch
over you, so I can guarantee that you won't get
lost. Haven't lost a guest yet ! (maybe a cat or
two but not a guest).
Gizmo and I were all smiles when Mom and Dad
got married on New Year's Eve. We wore big red
bows and were on our very best behavior. There
are lots of photos, so if interested please hit
the link on the right side of this letter (skip
what Mom and Dad say if you want).
For now, I'm just going to lie down by the
fire.
Keep warm now.

| Special
Valentine's Celebration at Buck Hollow Farm! |
 |
| Married
life really isn't bad. It's been a week and the
chains are only moderately tight. Ooops, they
just got tighter.
Anyhow we all had a terrific time. Jacquie
and I both want to thank the many of you who
wrote, sent cards or called. It's just a large
family here. (Wedding Photo's Link below)
The first few months of the year are always
slower. So here's an incentive to motivate some
of you to return or visit us for the first time.
Between Feb 1 and March 31 we're offering a 3
for 2. Stay 3 nights and pay only for 2. That's
a pretty good deal. Of course we can't combine
it with AAA, Canadian at par, or other discounts
and since this offer is limited only to folks on
our mailing list, we ask that when reserving you
please let us know that you're coming on the
special. If this special is anything like the
one we did for Jeff's Maine Seafood, rooms,
especially over weekends, might get tight. So we
do suggest that you plan as early as possible.
AND IF THAT ISN'T ENOUGH ! On the night of
February 14, we will provide a cheese fondue
dinner with salad and wine for all guests. I've
had Jacquie's fondue and I guarantee its taste.
Hoping your New Years was as good as ours and
that we'll see you soon.
