| Hi,
THANK
YOU
We can not offer enough thanks for the dozens of letters we
received offering kind thoughts about our loss of Isham (we
still have no idea where he might have gone). Clearly many
hearts were touched and more than a few personal losses
remembered. Your letters meant a great deal to us, a few
thoughts are quoted in a neighboring column.
Gizmo is both introducing and offering a few personal thoughts
about the newest member of our family. We know you will
love him just as we already do.

GIZMO'S
GOSSIP
|
 |
Hi
Everyone. Gizmo here.
I've been told that I have been elected to introduce the
newest member of our family. I've also been told
that this is an honor. If so, why did I see a
series of winks and some fingers crossed behind
backs. Nonetheless, being a dutiful son, I'll do my best
to comply.
Please meet (and I guess I mean this) an adorable
English Springer
Spaniel with the name of UTAH. He turns 11 weeks on June
26.
It's a tossup as to which is harder, losing Isham or
gaining Utah.
First I had to listen to endless bickering about a name
(as well as
a name change) for this ever wiggling beast. Now I must
also deal
with a 10 pound creature who apparently thinks I'm God -
a god whose ears always need pulling, a god whose
legs are meant for climbing, a god who needs
(like medieval kings), an official taste tester and
a god who needs close (very close) company wherever and
whenever he moves. Well buddy, this god has
teeth, so BACK OFF MY DISH !
As a concession to necessity, Mom and Dad had my
very long fur
shaved for the summer. It's both cooler and
provides less of a grip
for those sharp baby teeth that monster carries in his
mouth.
Anyhow, as the old saying goes - this too shall
pass.
My best to our Northern neighbors for Canada Day and a Happy
July 4th to the rest of you.
Love Gizmo

MAPLE ICE CREAM
|
|
|
 |
|
ARRIVING SOON AT A BUCK HOLLOW NEAR YOU
Over the past year many of you have already tasted and
raved about Jacquie's home made pizza. We are about
to introduce her latest creation. Home made
maple ice cream - a perfect desert after the pizza
(or at any other time). We need only to obtain those
"Dixie cup" type of containers and we'll
be ready to roll. Of course the only maple syrup
we'll use is that which is made from our own sugar bush.
Brad has taste tested many gallons and gives it a two
thumbs up. We'll do our best to always keep an
adequate supply.
Thank you for your kind words:
"Just a little word to say that I'm so sorry about
your dog...You must have been really sad!? Because we could
enjoy his company for a few days, it makes it that more
sad...I love animals so much, I can understand how you must
feel...sorry..."
"We're so sad to hear of Isham's flight! We so
enjoyed his company the two times we have stayed with
you. He was such a great snowy-trek-through-the-woods
tour guide, rarely leaving our side and always patiently
waiting for us to catch up."
"Isham and Gizmo both have a mention on our wedding
website (we're marrying August 20th in Massachusetts) as
being the best B and B companions! "
"That makes me sad to hear about Isham. I
looked forward to reading his part of the newsletter. I
liked the prayer and will copy it and keep it."
