Greetings,
Summer
is fast approaching and with it our busiest season. A time when
we all want to escape the rat race and dream of getting away
from it all.
We will be featuring a series of articles on Vermont
activities, with this month focusing on golf.
Click on this link for information on Golfing
in Vermont
We are hoping to cover other subjects such as biking, fishing,
moose and bird watching.
If you would like us to feature information on a particular
interest of yours, we'd be glad to hear from you.

WHO IS THIS GUY !!
Since September we have all gotten to know and love my
goofy, tongue hanging, shaggy haired, brown eyed litter
mate brother - Gizmo. I've written and talked about him
on numerous occasions. It's fun listening to guests
arrive - obviously devotees of my monthly column - and
ask about Gizmo (as well of course as yours truly).
BUT WHO IS THIS GUY ? Unlike me (and dad) whose hair
doesn't grow, Gizmo's hair steadily advances in a
Southerly direction, requiring occasional cutting,
brushing and trimming. But this ! Was this really
necessary ? Wouldn't a light trim and bath have been
enough ? What am I supposed to grab onto when we wrestle
? Doesn't this give him an unfair advantage ? And what's
this with the head and tail being left long ? There's so
much hair on his tail he can use it as a rudder. I won't
even talk about his beauty parlor smell. It's
disgusting.
Love Isham
PS: Thanks for the cards and letters many of you sent
for my birthday. Glad to know someone cares.

| GOLFING
IN VERMONT |
 |
|
Vermont
golf courses, golf vacations, public courses and country
clubs are
world famous ...
and the scenery has more than
once been accused of breaking one's concentration. So be
forewarned if you're a first timer... slow down and
enjoy some of the great golfing. Vermont has one
of the highest number of golf courses per capita in the
nation, second only to Florida. You will find
well-groomed, interesting and challenging golf courses
in every region of Vermont.
Call the
Vermont Golf Association for information about the
Player Series. It's limited to VGA members with a United
States Golf Association handicap index of 9.0 or lower.
This series of golf tournaments runs May - September.
"When I'm on
a golf course and it starts to rain and lightning, I
hold up my one iron, 'cause I know even God can't hit a
one iron." - Lee Trevino
"Golf is a
game in which you yell 'fore', shoot six, and write down
five." - Paul Harvey
"Golf is a
game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even
smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for
the purpose." - Winston Churchill

| A
Tribute to Brenda |
 |
Jacquie
and Brad tend to get most of the kudos from
guests. However the truth of the
matter is that it is Brenda who keeps things
running smoothly, finds and cures most of
the problems which arise around the inn,
and creatively finds a solution before the rest
of us even realize there's something to be
solved.
As this is written, Brenda has begun to
paint the pool house and the surrounding fence
in red with white trim to match the barn and the
old chicken house. When completed,
the entire pool and terrace will sparkle with a
much needed brightness heretofore missing.
Tireless, always smiling, totally
reliable and a wonderful good will ambassador
with the guests, Brenda is literally the
wind beneath our sails.
Thanks again Brenda.
