One way to tell people--face it, not a lot of dogs surf the web--about us is through a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Page. So we made one (and now that we have done a full update of our site, it is even longer!).

What breed of dog are you?

We are White German Shepherd Dogs (WGSDs). To learn more about WGSDs, click here.

Who is older--Wilma or Winston?

Wilma is the baby of our litter, so Winston is just a few minutes older. But for now at least, Wilma is a little bit bigger.

How did you get such awesome names?

The kids in our family chose our "regular" names. All of the pups in our litter have formal names relating to stars and constellations, so the dad in our family named us after two stars that begin with the letter W.

What games do you like to play?

Probably our favorite game is chase, or maybe chew the stick. We like--scratch that, we LOVE--to take walks with our family, too, 'cause we have lots of people come up to us and chat. (We are careful not to let it go to our heads, but it is almost like we are movie stars or something, no joke.) As you can see from our photos page, we also
love to play in the snow; sometimes we even pull a sled!

What is your favorite food?

We love doggy biscuits, pizza crusts, crackers, stuff like that. Of course we also like kibble, especially when it is topped with a dollop of our favorite brand of wet dog food.

We know it drives our human parents crazy, but we also like to try to eat many other things that look interesting to us (stuff like bark mulch).

How big will you get?

The last time we got weighed (when we were about 10 months old), Winston weighed 72 pounds and Wilma weighed 69 pounds. Our mom and dad aren't huge, so we probaly won't get much heavier. We exercise a lot, so we are very fit and trim.

Are you perfect?

We like to think so! (Although we do have some habits that gross out the people in our human family.

Do you go to school?

We aren't enrolled in school at the moment, But we have graduated from our friend Zev Langenaur's
puppy kindergarten class and also completed a great basic obedience/agility class--man was that ever fun!

Are you, um, you know, altered?

Funny you should ask. Back in the fall, after we went to puppy kindergarten, we thought we heard our human parents talking about Winston getting tutored by our veterinarian. About the same time, which was during a really hot spell, we thought we heard them say that Wilma was going to get sprayed at the Vet's. Boy, were we excited... But it turns out that we had misunderstood them. [Sigh.] So to answer your question, yes.
