Rt. 9 E / Horizon Inn

DVR personnel, Wilmington Fire and Wilmington Police respond to a 2 car motor vehicle accident on Rt. 9 at the Horizon Motel. The tractor trailer unit pictured struck an SUV east of this location and then the TT unit struck the telephone pole. All patients were not severely injured and there was no transport.

Rt. 9 DHART

DHART Helicopter 1 sits idle on Rt. 9 near Ballou Hill Rd. The helicopter responded to assist and injured subject being transported by DVR. This location was the closest area available to land a helicopter.

First Medic Defibs

Pictured are Betty Ellingsen, John Clark and Kevin Parker training on the First Medic 510 Defibrillators. These units were the first defibrillator used by DVR, purchased in 1991.
