This program is geared for parents, grandparents, and other family members of children with epilepsy, as well as for caregivers, school staff and any adult with an interest in the many issues facing children with epilepsy. Topics include challenges in school, recreational activities, self-esteem, adjustment concerns, babysitter issues, peer attitudes, and proper first aid. This program will address issues facing adults with epilepsy and is geared for adults who have epilepsy, as well as those who live, work and socialize with someone with epilepsy. Discussion will include employment issues, driving, safe pregnancy, long-term effects of medications, relationship concerns, adjustment issues and proper first-aid.
