1. THOMAS <1> MINER was born on 23 Apr 1608 at Chew Magna, Somerset, England (now Avon) and died 23 Oct 1690 in Stonington, CT. He sailed from Gravesend, England on 25 Apr 1629 aboard the Lyon's Whelp, arriving at Salem, MA in mid-July 1629. On 23 Apr 1634 he married Grace Palmer, born about 1608 in England and died 31 Dec 1690 in Stonington, CT. She was the daughter of Walter Palmer, born about 1585 and died 10 Nov 1661. Among ten children their fifth-born was:

2. DR. JOSEPH <2> MINER was baptized on 25 Aug 1644 at Hingham, MA and died on 1 Feb 1712 at Stonington, CT. He served in King Phillip's War. Joseph was married first on 28 Oct 1668 to Mary Avery, born 19 Feb 1648 and died 20 Feb 1708. Mary was the daughter of James Avery (1620- 1694) and Jane Greenslade (1622-1693). He married second to Bridget, widow of Rev. William Thompson. He had eight children from his first marriage and one from his second. His third-born was:

3. BENJAMIN <3> MINER was born 25 Jun 1673 and died 28 Feb 1711 at Stonington, CT. On 15 Dec 1697 he married Mary Saxton, baptized 4 Sep 1681 and died 17 Oct 1750. 4. CLEMENT <4> MINER was born on 1 Oct 1706 at Stonington, CT. The date of his death is unknown. On 1 Sep 1731 he married Abigail Hempstead, daughter of Joshua Hempstead. (see HEMPSTEAD GENEALOGY) Among ten children the sixth-born was:

5. BENJAMIN <5> MINER was born 7 Jun 1742 in Stonington, CT and died 13 Jan 1835 in Bridport, VT. On 24 Dec 1766 he married Anna Champlin of Stonington, who died 22 Apr 1820. He was Captain of the "Eastern Battalion, Morris Co., NJ " under Colonel Cook during the American Revolution. Among six children the third born was:

6. WILLIAM BOTT <6> MINER was born in 1770 in Boonton, NJ, lived most of his adult life in Bridport and Milton, VT and died 15 Apr 1839 in Illinois, while visiting his children. In 1798 he married Rebecca Kendall, daughter of William Kendall (1750 - 1798) and Mary Billings (d. 1797). Kendall, a captain in the revolution was born in Dunstable, MA; lived in New Ipswich, NH and Salisbury, VT and finally settled in Sheldon, VT. Rebecca was born 1 Jul 1778 in Enosburg Falls, VT and died 30 Sep 1869 in Hinesburg, VT. Children:

He married third Rosamond Aurelia (Castle) Cole. She was the widow of Issac J. Cole, who died Jan 1886. Rosamond, the daughter of Samuel Clement Castle and Irane Stone Ray, was born 12 Jul 1843 and died 27 Jan 1927. (see CASTLE GENEALOGY). Child:

10. HELEN ALMA <8> MINER was born 9 Mar 1882 in Hinesburg, Vt. and died on 12 Sep 1971 in Concord, NH. On 22 Oct 1900 in Hinesburg, Vt, Helen married Dr. Henry Lawrence Wilder, who was born 21 Jan (1870 or 1872) in Swanton, Vermont and died about 1940. They were later divorced. (See WILDER GENEALOGY). Helen married her second husband, Falko Wilhelm Schilling on 31 Oct 1912 in Vermont. Falko was born 20 Aug 1885 in Berlin, Germany and died on 9 Dec 1957 in Manchester, N.H. (See SCHILLING GENEALOGY ) Children:
