Fishnet's MissionThe mission of Fishnet as a whole is stated clearly in our Statement of Purpose. The focus of our call is to be a people of Presence and to be built up into the character of Jesus Christ. In this respect the members of Fishnet share a common goal, to which all those who join, must be committed.
As we are changed into Christlikeness, we share in His ministry of reconciliation. All Fishnet Members share, in common, this ministry. However we do acknowledge that there is great diversity within this ministry. There are different needs and different calls and different gifts. In every need there is a calling and in every calling there is a gifting, but these are not the same for everyone.The Holy Spirit distributes gift to each as He will and it is Jesus who extends the call. Fishnet can be thought of more as an organism than an organization.
Those on mission who feel the need for spiritual nourishment which Fishnet has to offer will fellowship with the body of Fishnet on a regular basis.
Fishnet wishes to honor our diversity by providing an environment that facilitates growth and maturity, defined as Christlikeness. We in Fishnet bless one another, anoint one another, provide mutual encouragement and journey-mate in prayer with one another.
Fishnet does not extend any form of pastoral covering beyond our own fellowship group. We do not claim authority over gifts and calls of ministry beyond our own fellowship group. The covering and authority remains with the church or ministry under which our mission is carried out.
