Author's Note: James Barr emigrated from Renfrewshire, Scotland to New Ipswich, New Hampshire in the 1770s. James' descendants settled, first in St. Lawrence County New York, then in other areas of the country.
Since the 1960's, reunions have been held annually for members of the Frank A. Barr family (great grandson to James Barr). The intent of these pages is to give family members access to information about our annual reunions and a place to share items of Barr family history, announcements and news. Postings can be sent by e-mail to ginnyl@sover.net.I want to acknowledge prior research, note taking/record keeping and ongoing assistance shared with me by many members of the Barr family, including but not limited to, Earl Barr (Dad), Maxine Barr Rutherford Hall, Elva Richardson Dillon, Dorothy Barr Hinrichs and Julie Harra. These people have been generous in contributing memories, photographs, research and time and I thank them for their help. If I don't have all the facts right, the fault is mine, not theirs.
