Credit Bureaus
Equifax
One of the "big three" credit bureaus, with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.
This site explains what the company offers, and includes some credit and fraud FAQs,
a useful glossary of credit terms, and online ordering for your credit profile.
Experian
The second of the "big three" credit bureaus (formerly TRW), with headquarters
in Layton, Utah. In addition to some basic company information, this site allows you
to order a copy of your credit report online, has some basic FAQs, but not much else
of consumer interest.
TransUnion
The third of the "big three" credit bureaus, with headquarters
in Springfield, Pennsylvania. This site provides basic company background, and a lot
of helpful consumer information, including a good explanation of your credit
report, fraud victim information, FAQs, and online credit report ordering. An excellent
resource.
