Construction of the new stadium took place right up until the first day of the Olympics.
The new stadium can seat 49,831 people. The dimensions of the field, from left to right, are 335 feet, 380 feet, 400 feet, 385 feet, and 300 feet. Most spectators are able to see the Atlanta sky line from their seats.
