This list of cemetery locations is only a partial list of existing cemeteries in Vermont. Many of the older & more obscure cemeteries are NOT included.
The "map" name refers to the 7 1/2 minute quadrangle name, NOT the township name.
My purpose in displaying this list is to show what can be done with a hand held GPS unit, which are becoming more popular these days. With the location punched into the unit and then placed on the dashboard of the car, it is an easy thing to drive directly to the cemetery without any familiarity of the area or stopping to ask directions.
If there is anyone interested in recording locations of old out of the way cemeteries with their GPS's they can be emailed in to the Web Editor. It is preferred, of course, that they be in a similar format. The program used to produce it is PanTerra, which was once available for free at www.topografix.com.
