| Leslie Li was born in New York City of Chinese and Polish parents and grew up in China, Hong Kong, Europe and the United States. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in English, she is an established freelance journalist as well as a novelist and short story writer. Her short non-fiction include personal essays as well as travel, food and health-related articles which have appeared in various publications, among them The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, Condé Nast’s Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Gourmet, Saveur, Garden Design, Health, Modern Maturity and Writers Digest. She divides her time between New York and Vermont. |
