History

Bound & Determined Publishers
began when Heidi and Adam formalized their writing consultancy work in
the community. For Heidi, people wanted her help editing academic
material and used her powerful editing skills to sharpen their research
conclusions. For Adam, as a popular English major, people would
often stop him in the halls and ask him
to look at grammar, syntax, and style for a variety of
publications before they went to print and/or ask his advice on a
creative writing piece they were trying to finish.
In 2000, Heidi and Adam purchased 10 ISBN numbers and identified
themselves as Bound & Determined
Publishers for the foreseeable future.
The first publication was a book of poetry, What We Want And Other Poems
written by Adam. While most of their work was pro-bono, they did
offer their services out on a professional basis for those in need of
assistance.
As they traveled, they continued to work for people
around the globe. Sometimes Adam assisted
investment bankers with their labor negotiations; sometimes Heidi cut
down science fiction manuscripts. Now, relocated in Brainerd,
Minnesota, they again offer their services to
the community.
