2. Describe your computer experience, when you first started using computers, the computer(s) you have now and their operating system(s). Include any comments such as what you think about Mac OS X.

I started using computers in 1980 at my place of employment. That was an early MSDOS experience. In Dec. of 1983, I bought a Apple IIc for family use. I used AppleWorks Classic for many business, personal, and school related purposes. I then added a IIgs and switched to the Mac OS in 1993, when I purchased a Macintosh LCIII. Later I graduated to a Macintosh Quadra 840AV. In 2000, I joined the Power PC family with the purchased of a Macintosh 7300, with a Pentium 166 Card. One of my daughters has a Macintosh Quadra 650 and the other a Macintosh 233 Powerbook. We run a blend of operating services with 7.6.1 on the 650, 8.1 on the 840AV, and 8.6 on all the Power PCs.

My 840AV is now used at work as a server using ethernet and LocalTalk Bridge. The other computers on the network are a PPC 7100/80, a StarMax 3000/180, and an IBM Pentium.

I have no experience with Mac OS X.
