1. Tell a little bit about yourself. What is your name? What do you do? What are your interests? Where do you live? Do others in your family use
computers? Macintosh? etc. Jeff Briggs. I'm a forester with the state of Vermont. I live in St. Johnsbury with my wife and a daughter in high school. I have another daughter in college. I volunteer for a number of things for the town of St. Johnsbury. I'm interested in outdoor activities, music, political activism, and of course Macs. all my family uses macs. I don't attend meetings because at this point I am just too busy. 2. Describe your computer experience, when you first started using computers, the computer(s) you have now and their operating system(s). Include any comments such as what you think about Mac OS X. I have three macs, a performa 475 with OS 7.1 which I got in 1994, and two Imac dv's, the newest one is used by my daughter at school. one runs mac os 8.6 (will probably upgrade this summer) and the other 9.1 3. List the things you do with your computer and related equipment, why you do them, and what programs you use. What programs do you use the most or like the most? Do you use any unusual programs? Email, internet, word processing, and games are our main uses. We order things over the web and use it for information. Programs used are Outlook express, Internet Explorer 5, Apple works 5 and 6, Microsoft office 2001. We like Apple works but find Microsoft Word most convenient for interfacing with the PC world. 4. Are there any presentations you would like to see or read about, or any you would like to make? OS X but as I said, I really don't have much time for meetings at this point 5. If you appear to be the most informed NVMUG member related to a Macintosh userÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs question, may we e-mail question to you? sure, but I don't know what that might. 6. May we share your response in an NVMUG eNewsletter on post it on a membersÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ page on the NVMUG web site? Of course |
