Macintosh ... The Naked Truth

Macintosh ... The Naked Truth
Author: Scott Kelby
Publisher: New riders
219 pages $19.99

This is a book about the experience of being a Macintosh user. The author has experience as a Macintosh magazine editor, and he treats the subject with humor, or intended humor depending upon how you read it. As an editor, he enjoyed writing responses to letters slamming the Macintosh so he could slam the slammer. I always wondered why they printed those slams, and wished they used the space for better things, so I am not a great fan of this book.

That said, Macintosh: The Naked Truth is an easy read, and contains some guidance for being a Macintosh user in a world that is largely populated by Wintel users and run by Microsoft and Intel. For example, should you go into a store like Staples, and if you do, where will the Macintosh software be? The majority of Mac users would probably enjoy this book very much.
