The authors say, "Although it's possible to accomplish an enormous amount of work using a relatively simple subset of Excel's capabilities, the software offers a lot of powerful techniques that can leapfrog your work beyond the ordinary without requiring you to spend years using and studying Excel."

I will not be reviewing this book because I do not own Excel. AppleWorks satisfies my spreadsheet and database needs. I do import Excel into AppleWorks and export AppleWorks into Excel which works quite well except when someone uses special macros or other techniques beyond the ordinary in Excel.
