Vernon has an active Recreation Department with most activities in the summer conducted at the Recreation Area/Swimming Pool on Pond Road. Most of the winter programs are conducted at the Elementary School under the control of the Recreation Department. Watch the town's newspaper for cureent programs and information.

Residents can purchase a family pool pass for $25.00, or a resident will be charged a $.50 fee to enter for the day. Passes will allow all members of your household to enter for the summer will be sold. Non-Residents can purchase a season pass for $75.00. A limited number of non-resident passes will be sold. If you are interested in purchasing a pool pass, please fill out the form below and return it to us at the pool, to your child's teacher, or mail it to us at P.O. Box 56, Vernon, VT 05354.
Once we receive your registration form and payment, a confirmation letter along with your pass number will be sent to you. This number, along with your name, must be logged in at the front desk. A complete list of family names and pass numbers will be kept at the front desk should you lose or forget your (ID will be required)
All non-residents must pay $3.00 per day if they do not have a season pass. Anyone 62 and older or 5 or younger may swim at no cost.

American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors & Life Guards
First Session: June 25 through July 12, 2007
Second Session: July 23 through August 9, 2007
(Each session runs Monday through Thursday for 30 minutes)
Times & Levels are arranged between 8:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Levels
Level 1: Water Exploration
Level 2: Primary Skills
Level 3: Stroke Readiness
Level 4: Stroke Development
Level 5: Stroke Refinement
Level 6: Skill Proficiency and Guard Start (Open to ages 11-14)
Classes will be tailored to the needs of your children. Times will be announced prior to the beginning of the First or Second Session. Please call the Pool on Thursday before swim lessons begin or check the Swim Lesson Bulletin Board at the pool. Speak to the Front Desk personnel, a Life Guard NOT on duty, or the Aquatic Supervisor.
Program Fees per session:
$20 residents
$45 non-residents
Scholarships available upon request.
**FREE** Infant & Preschool Aquatic Program, (Parent/Child) Tuesday & Thursday 5-6 p.m.
*Adult/Individual Private Lesson $10/each to be arranged
*Free Diving Lessons July 16, 17, 19, 20, 2007 Noon-1 p.m.
*Free Water Aerobics Monday and Wednesday 5-6 p.m.
*Teen Nights, to be announced
*Lifeguard, WSI & Lifeguard Re-Certification Courses TBA

Our summer camp is for children entering the 1st through 6th grades in the fall of 2007. Camp will be held at the Vernon Recreation Area on Pond Road, RAIN OR SHINE!

The balance for each week must be paid on or before the Friday prior to the week the child is attending camp. Checks can be made payable to "Town of Vernon." Send to P.O. Box 56, Vernon, VT 05354. Drop off at the pool, or send through the school.
Early supervision is an extra $20.00/week per child. Scholarships are available.
7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Once we receive your registration, a camper packet will be forwarded to you. Included will be more information and forms that will need to be completed and returned prior to the child attending camp.
Each week will be focused around a "theme." Activities for that week will incorporate that particular "theme" into the curriculum. Before signing up, please take the time to choose weeks that you feel interest you.
