Counterpoint is the news forum by and for the mental health consumer community of Vermont. Published by Vermont Psychiatric Survivors, Inc., it is distributed for free throughout the state and has a circulation of about 7,000.
The news section covers reports on legislative activity, medical and health information, interviews on timely subjects, and resource listings.
Consumer opinions, which include both solicited and unsolicited manuscripts, will continue to give the opportunity to share thoughts, feelings, and viewpoints on a broad range of topics. While held to a standard of reasonable communication, there is no editorial interference with the opportunity to vent opinions on issues of interest to the community.
Finally, Counterpoint will also continue to offer consumers the opportunity to share their life expressions through their artwork. Poetry, drawings, short stories, and photographs are examples of readers' art frequently on display.
